Welcome! I work with those who are struggling with recent or past experiences, or who have complex trauma or PTSD/C-PTSD. I also work with victims of violence and crimes. I work with adults, and part of my practice is devoted to working with children (6+). I have experience supporting a variety of issues including anxiety, depression, trauma, fertility, compulsions, stress, coping skills, suicidal thoughts, separation/divorce trauma for kids, disordered eating, body image and ADHD.

I bring a light, gentle and compassionate energy into my work. You may be overwhelmed by your feelings or struggling with your thoughts. I believe in you, and in our ability to work together (safely) to find solutions that bring you peace. I'm interested to know who you are and where you are coming from. The more you feel comfortable within yourself and with me the more you can feel comfortable to explore and overcome whatever brought you here.

I integrate a variety of therapy styles, and offer Somatic regulation strategies to work with your nervous system and Attachment Focused EMDR (AF-EMDR) -- an expansive form of EMDR that is flexible, creative, and highly effective for deep, permanent healing. If you are open to doing this work, and finding safety and comfort within yourself, I can offer a warm space to get you there.

I have experience working in crisis situations where I have joined my clients in the settings of their most difficult and vulnerable moments to provide care and support. I also work extensively with children and youth who are struggling.

I have worked with Hamilton Police Victim Services supporting victims of violence and crimes. I have also worked in a mental health treatment facility for youth between the ages of 15-18 years old supporting them to develop autonomy in managing their mental health symptoms.

While completing my graduate degree at Yorkville University I did my clinical practicum in a private setting that focusses on maternal mental health and a range of other issues connected with trauma and stress. I have since gone on to do a number of trainings in trauma.

I am currently a Level 2 AF-EMDR therapist under consultation with the world-renowned Parnell Institute in California while working toward certification over a three-year period. I offer this modality to clients with whom I have established a solid therapeutic relationship.

Making Space Psychotherapy is a community of Registered Psychotherapists dedicated to a common focus — to continually make space for, learn about and support the healing of individual, family and collective trauma in our local community and beyond.

The land on which our clinics operate have been the traditional land of the Erie, Neutral, Huron-Wendat, Haudenosaunee, and Mississaugas of the Credit for thousands of years. Making Space Psychotherapy and its staff are grateful to have the opportunity to work on this land.  We also acknowledge and have gratitude for the elements of our work in various modalities that come from ancient and Indigenous ways of knowing and healing.
