EMDR

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy is a structured style of therapy. It moves beyond talk therapy and supports you to heal at the physical level by using Bilateral Stimulation (BLS) to reduce the charge and emotions associated with your traumatic memories.

EMDR is an extensively researched preeminent treatment proven to help in the recovery from trauma and single-incident PTSD symptoms.

Originally, it was developed to treat PTSD, but over time EMDR has been proven to successfully treat panic attacks, depression, anxiety, phobias, borderline personality disorder, bipolar disorder, grief & loss, sexual assault, pain, chronic illness and more.

If you have experienced multiple traumatic events, suffered relational trauma as a child or adult, experienced issues with your primary caregiver, or if you have tried EMDR and it hasn't worked...

ALL are welcome.

The land on which our clinics operate have been the traditional land of the Erie, Neutral, Huron-Wendat, Haudenosaunee, and Mississaugas of the Credit for thousands of years. Making Space Psychotherapy and its staff are grateful to have the opportunity to work on this land. We also acknowledge and have gratitude for the elements of our work in various modalities that may come from ancient, ancestral and Indigenous ways of knowing and healing.
